Squarespace
Code injection is available on the Business plan and above.
- Open Settings → Developer Tools → Code Injection (on newer accounts: Website → Website Tools → Code Injection).
- Paste the Shortbread tag into Header:
<script src="https://tryshortbread.com/shortbread.js" data-site="YOUR_SITE_KEY" async></script>

Squarespace's own analytics
Squarespace sets its analytics cookies from the platform, before any custom code runs, so Shortbread cannot hold them back. Leave Restrict Squarespace analytics cookies on in Cookies & Visitor Data if you want those cookies withheld, and list them under Statistics in your declaration. Tools you add yourself (Google Analytics, a Meta pixel) go in Code Injection with type="text/plain" data-shortbread="statistics" or marketing, or through Google Tag Manager with Consent Mode.
Cookie declaration
On your cookie or privacy policy page add a Code block (not an Embed block) containing <div id="ShortbreadDeclaration"></div>. Then set that page as the Cookie policy URL in Shortbread's Design tab.
